FOCUS ON KENYA: 2022
There are forty-seven counties [states] in Kenya. Martin Shikuku, director of JGHM: East/Central Africa Branch since 2013, and his team have blanketed the nation with prayer seminars. The Lord laid a burden and a vision on Martin's heart to greatly expand the prayer impact that has already been made on many individuals, families and churches. The plan was for Martin to invite a pastor from each of the forty-seven counties for a training session. Not only would a full seminar be offered that closely followed the prayer seminar workbook, but these pastors would be taught how to teach the seminar. Each pastor would mobilize 100 pastors to attend a prayer seminar. Each participant would be provided a Swahili workbook and a pen. The date was set as Saturday, August 6. 5,000 workbooks were printed for the 4,700 pastors expected. The budget was set at $9,100. The JGHM Doorkeepers more that surpassed the budget.
The result? A prayer seminar for each of the forty-seven counties. Attendance goal: 4,700. Attendance reported on Monday, August 8, 2020: 4,652. TO GOD BE THE GLORY! GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE! The goal of the prayer seminars is to mobilize believers to become houses of prayer for their families, their churches, their area, and their nation. The only way to push against the deepening spiritual darkness is prayer based on the Word of God! Your church is unlikely to become a house of prayer for all nations without encouragement from local church leadership. A six-hour prayer seminar makes a difference!
